About Bennett’s Beans

A practical Canadian dry bean supply partner

Bennett’s Beans is the bean supply brand of Bennett’s Headland, focused on serving commercial buyers looking for Canadian dry beans for export, distribution, food manufacturing, and private label programs.

We work with importers, distributors, food manufacturers, packers, and wholesale buyers who need clear communication, commercially realistic offers, and supply programs built around actual product requirements.

Our role is straightforward: help buyers source the right Canadian beans, align product specifications with the intended market or application, coordinate processing and packing, and support the shipment with the commercial and export documentation required for international trade.

Who we are

Bennett’s Beans is built around one core category: Canadian dry beans.

Rather than positioning ourselves as a general agricultural trader, we focus on bean programs where product class, target specification, packaging format, shipment planning, and buyer documentation all matter. That focus helps us work more precisely with customers who need more than a generic offer.

We support bulk and wholesale bean business across a range of commercial channels, including export distribution, food processing, repacking, foodservice supply, and selected branded or private label programs.

How we work

Our operating model is practical and program-based.

We source Canadian dry beans according to the product, crop availability, destination market, and the buyer’s commercial specification. Processing and packing are coordinated through third-party facilities across Western Canada, selected based on proximity to the harvest farm and the specific needs of the program.

This allows us to build supply programs around the realities of the order instead of forcing every project into a single fixed facility model.

Depending on the program, this may include:

Our goal is not to overcomplicate the process. It is to help buyers move from inquiry to shipment with better clarity on product, packaging, logistics, and paperwork.

What we supply

We work with a range of Canadian dry bean classes based on season, availability, and customer requirements.

Programs may include beans for:

Because different markets buy for different end uses, we do not treat every bean inquiry the same way. Some buyers need a straightforward export container program. Others need a tighter specification for manufacturing or a packaging format for downstream resale. Our job is to understand that difference early and quote accordingly.

Commercial and export documentation

Bennett’s Beans is the working brand used for our bean business. Official commercial and export documents are issued by Bennett’s Headland.

This distinction matters for buyers who need clarity on contracting, invoicing, shipping documents, and export paperwork. We prefer to make that structure clear from the outset so there is no confusion during the transaction process.

A supply model built for real programs

We understand that commercial bean buying is rarely just about price.

It also involves origin, crop year, grading expectations, packaging, shipping basis, timing, destination requirements, and document readiness. A workable supply partner should be able to understand those moving parts and help organize them clearly. That is how we approach the business at Bennett’s Beans.
